"Spring Has Arrived!"

It is finally here! Montreal is bursting at the seams with life. Stephane and I took a walk on Mont-Royal down to Park la Fontaine and did some cleansing in the park. It was beautiful, the crocuses are flowering and the buds on the trees and bushes are just starting to pop out, a few more rainfalls from big Momma Earth and we've got ourselves a fully fledged spring!

One thing I really love about Montreal is that we have the full effect of the 4 seasons. So after the hard winter of being stuck inside getting cabin fever, eating a lot of food and plowing through work, when spring hits everyone goes a bit nutty, which is perfect! It is literally the ideal time to go out and meet people since it is "mating season" for us humans, hahaha...

Somebody asked me what I do in my typical day. The answer? I wake up happy, and go to sleep happy. Why am I so happy? Well, I've got the best man you could every hope to dream of having living and enjoying life with me.

"love is all you need" The Beatles knew what they were talking about. And spring? Spring is all about love, the red energy coming up into our feet after a long winter, the buds of love, the flowers of love, and the love of life returns to us all.

I love being sappy.. speaking of sap, one other thing I love about living here is the Maple Syrup. The real stuff. None of that auntie this or fenugreek that, no no, the real stuff. Real red energy, there is nothing like it. I remember Stephane and I went traveling to Kelowna last year and ordered pancakes, they brought us really gross syrup, we asked for maple syrup and they looked at us like we were nuts. So on a side note for myself, the next time I go travelling, I'm bringin myself two cans of the stuff.
Je vous adore!

p.s. Stephane did a real sweet thing today, he helped this older woman carry her wet laundry up two flights of stairs, she asked me while he was busy, why we moved here, and I told her, "Look around you, life is beautiful here."
If you ever come to Montreal, and you're here on a Sunday, you have to come to the Tam-tams. A bunch of people all get together on Mont-Royal (the mountain, or hill rather...) and they bring things to sell, and people bring their drums and everybody has a huge party throughout the whole day. It's like a giant pik-nik - you suntan, you eat good food, you shop around in the little market area where people sell handmade clothes, jewlery etc., you meet people, you lounge around and take it easy...for the whole day.
